Is anyone going to the above festival this year? It's my 20th year and until a few years ago used to camp but found it too hard to get up off the airbed in the mornings so now "glamp" it in a hotel If anyone is going we could arrange a get together on site.

It's a music festival held in a small north Oxfordshire village called Cropredy and it's a fairly varied range of music from folk to blues to pop- this year we've got among others Squeeze, Joan Armitrading, Bellowhead, Richard Thompson and of course Fairport Convention. I've seen some brilliant acts over the years. It's a very friendly crowd and very family friendly - my son used to love coming along with his mates and there were no worries about them wandering off around the crowd (unfortunately this year he will be in Afgan so won't make it)

It boasts the longest festival bar in the country, so the beer would be a temptation but it is a really fun weekend (even when it rains)

What a shame your wife doesn't like FC. This is their 45th year as a band so they must be doing something right. I've managed to brainwash several friends to be FC fans now. Maybe when she's asleep you could play their CD's to her until her subconscious succumbs. :lol:

She does like their greatest hit -

Away day! Away day - loco in transit;
omnibus; St Pancreas; away day!

Those medieval Christmas carols still make their impact.
