Fake meter readings

Hey

I am using the glucomen LX metre and yesterday I checked my sugars and they were at 2.3! Needless to say I guzzled lucozade like it was going out of fashion but thought it strange I had no hypo warnings. I checked again and my bgs were at 6.9. I rechecked again and they were still 6.9. I wasn't at 2.3 after all!

Anyone have experience of their meeting messing up?

If your fingers are wet, you could get a "lower than true" meter reading.

My meetings always mess up - (autocorrect on?)

Seriously, I use the LX AND I've also been down at 2.3 and 2.5 without any symptoms. Didn't assume that the meter was wrong though.
