familial hypercholesterolaemia Calcium, lowcarb, conundrum

relative just got back to me: they had parathyroidectomy - hence now has calcium issue as before was way way too high levels. doesnt have other useful info not already known sorry. had said something about calcichew forte which also has vitd as better doesnt remember reasoning has taken for well over last 10 years.
Thanks for the research @grantg .I had parathyroid surgery . Previously Calcium and vit D were too high, due to tumours and calcium levels since have been erratic despite being on calcium meds, which are causing problems, due to me having Familiar hypercalcaemia. So I need a dietary solution. The vit D has stabilised, I had previously been ‘overdosed’ by prescribed Vit D, due to the imbalance. Lots of things are ‘out of kilter’ at the moment, but I am much improved .

Cottage cheese also goes well on top of many types of casserole as a lower fat alternative to bechamel or cheese sauce. :)
I'd still add some grated cheese on top though, it's all in the quantity.
It wouldn’t be my chioce of cheese. Cottage cheese. I prefer a strong tasting cheese. Guess I just have to add chilli or something. ;)
