Famous people with Diabetes.

Elizabeth Taylor is rumoured to have been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, though the type of diabetes she had has never been confirmed.
Jerry Lewis, type 1.
Vanessa Williams, the first African-American Miss America is a type 1. She also wrote a book about diabetes.
Salma Hayek was diagnosed with gestational diabetes.
Larry King, type 2.
Mae West, I am not certain if the type of diabetes is confirmed.
Patty LaBelle, type 2.
BB King, type 2.
Sharon Stone is rumoured to have diabetes but, she denied it at an interview explaining that she generally has low blood sugar and low blood pressure.
 
Gloria Hunniford. There was a segment on The One Show I half watched this evening. She is pre-diabetic and is following a low carb diet to keep it under control. There was a Specialist somethingorother talking with her about diabetes and low carb. It was advertising a show called Food: Truth or Scare she is doing all next week on BBC2.

Here's a thought if you are famous but you want info on diabetes, but you know if you signed on as yourself the tabloids would be quoting you left right and centre so you don't use your own name etc, your avatar is a cartoon.

I actually love this thread though, at least 3/4 of the people named above, I had no idea were diabetics!
