What do you think about combining Dr. Michael Mosley's Fast 800 Mediterranean diet with Dr. Fung's 23:1 intermittent fasting schedule?
I have been doing LCHF 18:6 using Dr. Fungs books along with The New Atkins for a New You book and others -- 1600 calories a day. Previously I was eating 2400 calories a day on LCHF grazing diet and lost about 2 pounds per week on that.
It's been going well. I want a boost though now that I have had a break being on LCHF only for past few days.
I'd like to try the Fast 800 in a 23:1 intermittent fasting schedule, preferbably for 8 weeks. I've lost 3 stone in past couple months but have 14 stone to go.
What do you think? I handled the 18:6 fasting for 25 days straight no issues, not one single bit of food during fasting hours.. wasn't hungry.. if I was slightly, I just drank homemade bone broth. I am very sure I can handle 23:1 for long period of time without hunger. It's so nice because there aren't high levels of insulin (the bully) present all the time, ordering the fatty acids to go back home to the fat cells.. they get freely used up... just never hungry.
