Hi Guys,
I've been experiencing the symptoms of Diabetes on and off for the past couple of months to varying degrees. I did a blood test a month ago which came back "satisfactory" but since then I've developed the thirst & tiredness to a greater degree, so I am getting an Hb1Ac blood test tomorrow.
Anyway, 3-4 times over the past month, I have woken up with an unusually high heart rate in the morning which takes a few hours to come down. To give you some idea... on numerous occasions recently, I've had a RHR as low as 55 throughout the day but this morning my RHR was 75-80+ I briefly mentioned it to my Doctor but he gave me the "your heart rate varies throughout the day" spiel.
For a variety of reasons I think this Doctor is borderline incompetent, so I thought I'd see what you guys thought.
It also happened at New Years Eve... I was feeling pretty tired so went for a kip until 11:45 & I woke up with my heart rate racing, feeling off & numb fingers too. That might just have been because an alarm at a time my body wasn't expecting though; similar mechanism possibly though.
I read that it has something to do with the release of stress hormones which raise your heart rate. I can certainly attest that I feel stressed when it happens - a feeling I'm used to from Uni Exams!!
Has anyone else experienced this with undiagnosed or diet-controlled Pre-Diabetes?
I don't know If it makes a difference but I take 150mg of chelated Magnesium before bed at the moment. The first time I noticed it however, I wasn't using the Magnesium.
Thanks Guys!
