Fasting Blood Glucose - Is this OK??

Hi

I have just done a 30 day average of my fasting BGs. I came out at an average of 6.4mmol/l. Is this on the right track?? I'm just diet and exercise controlled at present.

Hi. That sounds excellent to me. I would suggest you test 2 hours after a main meal rather than do fasting tests as it gives a more realistic result; a fasting test can be affected by overnight liver dumps. The 2 hour test also shows what foods affect you but it looks like you are well controlled anyway
