Fasting blood glucose monitoring

Hi there
I am a T2 diabetic for nearly 10 years. Am going for fasting blood sugar test at clinic tomorrow morning. Unclear whether if I should take my morning metformin after the test or as per normal take it with water before the test. In the past had waited till after. Appreciate Any ideas on correct guidance.
 
@Muthathal. - I take mine if it's just a normal blood test. But, for fasting take them afterwards.:)
 
It should not make any difference Metformin has a slow working effect, a single dose has little or no effect.
