New here so l hope I've posted this correctly.

I have not been diagnosed with diabetes but know that l am pre diabetic which l manage by monitoring at home and diet, no medication. I have been fasting now for 34hrs and my morning blood sugar is 6.2, anyone have any ideas why its this high?

Do a bit of research into Dawn Phenomenon.

As your body isn't been fueled by carbs your liver releases fat stores to slowly raise your BG, normally on waking,
Also a normal fast is 10-12 hours before lab work is taken.
