Can someone give advice I'm type 2 not medicated sleep a lot headaches don't eat a lot and fasting bloods 7.9 normal any advice please

Thank you never slept so much in my life feeling terrible thanks for the advice

What are you eating?

sorry if it seems short and to the point, but it sounds like you definitely need some medication, which only the doc can provide, and then you can come back and get dietary advice from other diabetics in similar circumstances.......

No that fine I was a bit unsure as I suffer with b.polar and thought it could be that but never felt like it before diabetes

it would only be speculation from anyone here as to why you are having trouble staying awake and eating, but uncontrolled blood sugars can definitely be one cause.............

do you test your blood sugar at any other time in the day?

Yes and they range some times between 8 and yesterday 13.4

They sound a bit high, though not disastrously so if it's only a short-term thing. Nonetheless, they need sorting.

Probably a statement of the bleedin' obvious, but you haven't got a virus or an infection, have you? They can push your levels up and - obviously - would account for you feeling lousy and tired....

But yes, I'd go and see the quack, if I were you.

Sorry but you are a T1 on a pump, Julie is a T2 on no medication and high-ish but not unmanageable levels (lower than mine were when diagnosed). It is perfectly possible that diet is a significant factor here, and whilst seeing the doctor is of course a good idea, to state 'definitely need some medication' is premature in my view. That's why I asked.

Off to the doctor .. Let the doctor sort out the cause .. There are lots and lots of reasons why you could be so sleeply... No point in trying guess work .. Do come back and let us know when you have seen the Dr ..

Edited to add .. If you have gas or solid fuel heating .. Then PLEASE open a window and get out side for a while ... If you don't have a working carbon monoxide alarm. Its only one of the very many things that could be causing your feeling Bad .. Now book that appointment with the doctor !!!!!!!!

Hi @julieemma.

I notice on another thread that you suffer from bipolar. Sometimes the meds that we are given for other conditions can affect our blood sugars but will still be prescribed because of the necessary management of that condition.

You really need to see your G.P., explain how you are feeling and mention any other meds that you are taking.

Let us know how it goes.

Medication was my own personal opinion going by her post, but I cant speculate, hence why she should go to the Doctors to find out what she may need..........

stressing to go see the Doctor was the main theme of my post.....
