Fasting BS 5 4

Took our second day fasting BS on today morning at 7am

Last dinner ..7 pm
Metformin 2x500mg 10pm
FBS 5.4

Is there way to find what % benefitted from metformin and from food. Rationale...would like to understand how much dependence is im currently on medicines.

Thoughts?

Metformin will affect your FBS if you tend to have Dawn Phenomenon, but overall it does very little to reduce average Blood Glucose over a 24hr period.
However you are only testing FBS, so it is hard to day.
Over a whole 24hrs, what you eat has a much greater effect than either Metformin or exercise.
