I don't know, for me, if I would try the 24 hr fasts Dr. Fung suggests, but I hand it to anyone that can do that. I just feel my body needs that time between meals such as Breakfast, Lunch and dinner. I don't eat after 6 because I like to got to bed, lie down at night to read, at least 3 hours "after" I eat my last food. That's because I don't get any acid reflux if I do that. Walking is also like medicine for me, and I do not feel good at all if I don't "take" it
I also learned from another diet doctor video (I think it was) that it can take a long time (which no one mentioned how long) to reverse, or stop insulin resistance so I haven't even been working on that for a year yet. 67 years of eating the wrong foods can't be healed over night. I should say, eating too much of certain foods, and really, eating too much of anything isn't healthy as I sure don't feel good if I eat too much meat & fats either
I didn't make it between lunch and dinner yesterday. Today, I'm going to eat meat for lunch, maybe with vegies and see how I do with eating more of a dinner around 3 pm. I don't know I will make it all the way to bedtime. Also, I want to change up my breakfast. I just need to change up my variety of low-carb meals I think, and times I eat them. This food craving, boredom or both is messing me up.
Does anyone know if drinking 2 Cups of coffee "drink" made of 2/3 Chicory Root, and 1/3 regular coffee, with 1/2 tsp cacao, sprinkle of cinnamon, and Almond milk for creamer break a fast? Now that I type it out and see it, I wouldn't be surprised if it will
These cups I have at 6 a.m. when I get up, but I don't count them as breaking fast.
