Good morning @Speedbird,yes seems to confirm the " clear away the excess fat around the pancreas and other areas so they can perform better" much like the lchf regime many successful t1 and t2's are maintaining on this forum,early days but promising

Interesting indeed.Problem is how thin do you have to get to move fat from these organs.

My simplistic view : fasting on 700 cals is manageable for just 5 days (eating unsaturated food and fats)then 25 days of eating normally to your meter.
If the pancreas kicks in, then all well and good, if not then I would give it a second chance. I don't look at the regime as ad infinitum. But worth a try. X
