Fasting?

I want to know if any of you ever fast? I often just don't want to eat stuff. I posted some time ago about m BS being around 23 most days, my new nursey has put me on Humalog Kwikpen, which is working well. I had a day yesterday when I just couldn't face food. I had boiled eggs at breakfast , but nothing after that. Before bed my BS was 11.4. I was expecting it to be lower than that fist thing this morning but instead of being lower it was actually slightly higher at 11.6. I am planning to eat something today, although probably not until around 5pm.
I hope you are all staying safe and keeping well in these weird times. I haven't been out of my house for about 14 weeks, and I'm scared to, at the moment. I cannot believe Bojo is recommending that is possible to go to pubs etc., and I hope I'm wrong but I can foresee a huge rise in cases very soon.
 
If I’m not hungry, my levels are fine and I don’t have loads of insulin on board that needs “soaking up” then I don’t eat.
 
Thanks Looprecat, I ate today as promised, but afterwards I felt a bit light headed, so I checked and my BS was 19.2 but that was about 1/2 hr after eating so might have been a bit soon. I will take it again later. X
 
Have you done basal texting? Sounds like you need to get that foundation right.
 
I don't know what that is, so I have googled it, and will try it. I don't do the ml thingy, either, I use a monitor which gives me different readings. Thanks, for your reply, it helps a lot, x
