Want to increase my fat intake so want to make some fat bombs, but need to be nut free as I'm soon back at school and also want to limit the coconut oil as it's just so expensive. Does anyone have any decent recipes??

All my fat bomb recipes came from Pinterest.

I just searched fat bombs, and was presented with a fantastic page of pics, and just tapped the ones i like the look of.

When you say 'nut free' are you counting coconut? Because they almost all contain coconut butter...

Coconut isn't nut so I'm allowed that at school, however I want to see if I can do something without coconut oil as it's just so expensive! When I google fat bombs without coconut oil and nuts I get loads of recipes containing coconut oil and nuts!!!

I think the whole point of using coconut oils and butters is that they're solid at "normal" temperatures so the fat bombs will keep their shapes. A dark chocolate and butter mix may work, otherwise the only other solid fat I'm aware of is lard. So you may need to look at alternatives, possibly low carb fudge, if you don't want to use coconut oil.

Are you increasing fat to put on weight, or for other reasons?

To try and lose more weight! Probably eating too much protein and not enough fat

I have that problem. Love my protein, especially from cheese and nuts. Oops!

KTC coconut oil is about £2.50 in Tesco. Not virgin but ok. Look for it in the 'World Food' Isle as it's cheaper there than the 'healthy food' Isle.
Go to your nearest Asian grocers. Coconut Oil is generally reasonably priced there. I use it for my beard as well. Incidentally, you'll often find psyllium husks at such emporia at much cheaper prices than H&B etc. look for 'isbagollah' or similar.

I make a 'cheesecake topping' with full-fat Philly, whipped double cream, vanilla extract and a bit of sweetener that helps me to bump up my fat levels.
