Faulty Freestyle Libre Sensors

Has anybody had problems with their sensors. Both sensors I received in June fell off after a few days, FreeStyle replaced them but they also failed. One giving incorrect readings (low blood sugar) and one reported failed sensor after only two days. Now another one has just fallen off !

They don't suit all skin types @smitchen - for myself I find they stick pretty well to my skin but the actual sensor is usually starting to come away from the double sided sticky membrane by the time the sensor expires.

Some people put Tagaderm patches over them to keep them in place - have a look on Amazon.

I've been wearing them in the same place for 18 months without a problem, initial they were difficult to removed but now they can be easily flicked off.

I had some problems when I first started using libre, mainly wildly inaccurate readings on a couple of sensors, but it was only a few sensors so I was happy to live with it as the others were v good
Since around May tho Ive had multiple problems - 3 out of the box immediate failures, 1 wildly inaccurate and the current one has v poor adhesion and it started to peel off on day 3 - I have had to resort to a bandage over the top, then tegaderm which is keeping it limping along but I doubt it will reach 14 days
My personal theory based on my experience is that quality has suffered in the dash to up production
I have the remmnants of a stash I bought from superdrug and the 4 replacement sensorsfrom Abbot, but dont plan to buy more unless / until there are less problems

How do you contact Freestyle to report a faulty Libre sensor and hopefully get it replaced? Mine started reading LOW and I continued feeding it until I could get to do a blood test - when I was 17 mmol/l
The sensor was in its second day!

They have a telephone number on their website -https://www.freestylelibre.co.uk/libre/help/contact-us.html
Did you let your sensor settle for 24 hours before activating it? If you haven't it'll be inaccurate for the first day or so.

I called Abbott on the Freefone number and was put through a 20 minute accusatory interrogation. Not a pleasant experience at all. Eventually - after a off line discussion with someone else - she said that she would replace the sensor "this time" insinuating I was not genuine. She said I should have continued with the "low" readings for a few days! I pointed out that this would at best be useless and at worst dangerous but... She didn't seem to agree. Not a nice experience. Hopefully I never have to go through that again. I will be looking for an alternative to Libre, even though I like it very much

I too had a sensor that failed one me when I freshly applied it. The Abbot CS I spoke too was quite nice, he asked for the error codes on my reader and he was quite happy to send a replacement.
