Last night I fitted my Libre 2 sensor as usual 24 hrs prior to activation and had the unusual experience of the centre needle being left behind which was easy to remove and I assumed would not be a problem but unfortunately tonight when scanning the sensor it came up with the message to check the sensor was not loose from the skin which it wasn't and if not remove the sensor and start a new one I did notice after the removal that there was a centre white component which was raised which did click back when pressed ,I I have contacted Abbott and they are sending me a replacement so no problem I was just wondering if anyone else has had this experience .

It hasn't happened to me (yet), but over the years I saw various people asking about this issue in Facebook groups.
The sensors never work as far as I've read when the needle gets stuck in the sensor after applying.

Thanks Antje I have just googled it and yes there are several photos on line of this happening so doesn't seem like a that uncommon problem , when I got in touch with Abbott they gave their usual excellent service .

Are you familiar with the old song with the the line "your the best thing thats ever happened to me...."
