Hello,

first of all I want to thank all the members n this forum who spend valuable time replying and answering questions. Truly remarkable.
I have learnt a lot in last one month and have adopted low carb diet to try and manage this thing.

I want to get feedback on my last month journey and want to what can be done to improve it even more. I have been testing regularly and tracking all my BS numbers. Two simple charts below shows the status.

This is such a clear improvement, I'm sure you are on track for health improvements if you keep it up.

Without understanding food and exercise changes you have made and when it would be hard to make suggestions for improvements. What are you aiming for? The last 7 days are looking very good.

What struck me immediately was the difference in the variation from your lower and higher readings - no spikes - not roller coasting. That is brilliant and what I aim for. The less the variability, the less likelihood of complications (even if the average is a tad higher, although this isn't the case for you) Aim for as straight a line as possible is my motto. Well done, keep it up.

Thanks. I am aiming for a lower average and eventually have the reading as close to normal as possible. I was not heavy carber before also but i used to have brown rice, paste and grains and peas and legumes. I have cut them out and swapped with eggs, salad, cheese and other fat sources.

Are you referring to last one week/. yes I have tried to contain the spikes by having limited carb and more fat. Seems to be working. I would like my average to be in 5

Looks like you are having great success with your method. I'm guessing from your posts that you don't eat meat of fish?
Olives and avocados are good fat sources if you can get them.

whats the amount of carbs you are eating. Can you give a typical day of what you are eating?

Yes, I was referring to the last week when the variations diminished. Whatever you did to change to that must be good!

We would all like our average to be in the 5's. :) By average, I mean an average of all - including earlier and later than 2 hour readings. Remember than an HbA1c of 38 for example is equivalent to an average of 6.3, but that is 24/7 over 2 to 3 months, not just a few tests a day. You need an HbA1c of 34 to get an average of 5.8 over 24 hours for 2 to 3 months.

I do not necessarily count each carb but its below 50 gm I would think. Typical day is eggs with butter in morning and spinach etc.
Lunch is generally salad ( cucmber/mushroom,chicken etc with pesto or any other olive oil based dressing) , sometime i have kebab with salad etc.

In between lunch and dinner I munch on nuts and sometime greek yogurt. Dinner is generally some sort of Veg in butter with lettuce etc. Or it can be salmon with aspargus or prawns in cougette or grilled haloumi and cottage cheese etc.

I have stopped eating fruits but i do miss them. I am hoping i bring my bottomline average to around 5 and then start with fruits again.

Thanks @bulkbiker . I do eat fish and chicken. I dont eat beef/pork /bacon etc but sea food and chicken is fine for me. Though at home we dont cook meat so its generally fish from super store ( ready made) or veg :)

I do have an avocado per day and olives with my wine and cheese
