Feeling a bit isolated.

Hi, in addition to the other good advice I suggest keeping a spreadsheet of food eaten, bg, exercise and emotions. Try foods 2x unless once gives a clear result. You may begin to spot patterns, stress from driving, particular berries giving higher bg readings than others etc.

This is an UK centric forum, so normally deals with NHS woes. Unfortunately the Italian health system seems to suffer lately of the same problems, no glucometer for type 2 only on metformin, the GP that simply writes prescriptions, no diabetic nurse available to to discuss my problems and so on.
I found this forum, even if is UK focused and with a lot of thing to read a lot useful, especially because I feel a bit less isolated.

On this forum there are a lot of interesting tips and stories to read, so I feel a bit less isolated, thank you very much! Friends and relativers normally aren't understanding my condition, and this cause me to be angrier and angrier... it's a difficult situation.

PS: Actually I've got once a diabetic nurse that said to me that if I cut rice, bread and pasta and try to use vegetable oils instead of butter and eat more fruit and vegetables It will be easier to lose weight and reduce glucose blood levels... Didn't say actually LCHF, but looks like a bit...
