Hey, we all have highs and lows from time to time. Set yourself some easy goals to kick start you off. That way once you complete them, it's a small achievement and you'll feel better. Gradually keep chipping away at it. Despite being T2 for 4 years now, metforminx2 in the morning with Sitagliptin and 2xmet at night with 1xsimvastin. I rattle like a pill box. I love food but stuck with small portions, only got to smell it and look at it and my levels raise. Lol I'm 47, when visiting my parents my mum still tries to feed me all the wrong food. Sometimes it's not possible to keep to low carbs all the time, but again balance it with some sort of exercise to reduce the rise in blood sugar levels. I carb up for energy, then go cycling with friends on the weekend for a couple of hours. It is hard socialising with friends when dining out, their tucking into desserts and I can't eat them. I have an occasional spoonful and every now again, sometimes I fall of the wagon but not often. Hey were human. I miss eating ice cream, lollipops in the summer and full fat coco cola.[emoji23] Hang in there and stay positive, you can do this. Good luck.
