Never be scared of taking medication, by all means read up and be prepared of possible side effects. But, until you take it, you won't know what it will do to you. It may work it, it may not. You don't know, everybody is different. Simvastin is for cholesterol, it cleans you arteries out, prevents them from clogging up. At the start, I was a ticking time bomb, my cholesterol was shockingly high, poor diet and a naughty lifestyle. It is worth taking, it maybe only a short term thing, my arteries are clean from change in diet, stop smoking and drink occasionally, so I take them now and again to keep a clean bill of health. Sitagliptin in the morning is one to control my high level insulin production, helps keep my levels more balanced throughout the day. Stops it from spiking when I eat. Unfortunately I have come to the round to accept, my diabetes will be with me for life. Mine is unique to me and me only, it is in my genes. No matter how I tweak my diet, or exercise I still struggle to keep in range on my levels. I'm cool with that. You have a fighting chance of changing your medication in the future. Keep tweaking away at your diet, increase your exercise a little bit more. Finally get more control of it. Life is a roller coaster, it is never smooth running, hold on tight and ride it out. Just keep telling yourself 'you can do this'.
