Feeling Hypo and No test strips!

Messages
3
I have the ibgstar.

I feel seriously hypo and I have no testing strips. I did test with my neighbours meter. The result came up at 11.6. This was about an hour and 15 mins ago. I have eaten since then but continue to feel like this.

I know however I am not. Is there any way I can stop this feeling as I know i am not hypoing but I can't seem to shift this.

I am 17 and this is seriously interfering with life.]

Thanks

That explains a lot. The body's response to hypo and panic attack are very similar. Fight or flight hormones are released in both cases - adrenalin will make you shaky, sweaty etc and cortisol will raise your BG.

Best way to get rid of the symptoms are drink lots of water and get some exercise. This will help to flush the stress chemicals out of your body. In the longer term you need to identify what's causing the panic attacks to help you deal with them.

You are also probably anxious that you have no test strips, this in turn leads to feeling of hypo which you can't test for.
