On Thursday evening my daughter said she felt hypo as she has done many time before. We checked and double checked BG and it was 8.6. She looked hypo, was shacking and complaining of tingling in feet. All very typical for her. Not knowing what to do and confused by BG readings I treated as hypo. gave remedy and snack re checked bg after 15-20 minutes it had only gone up to 8.8. She remained to feel tingling. After s few minutes she complained it was getting worse re checked BG and it had gone down to 6.6. Repeated above and exactly same happened. Took 2hours to see significant rise in BG and hypo feeling to stop. This happened again Friday so she was admitted to hospital. Doctors no idea. She was diagnosed epileptic within 12hours of type 1 so I know this is an unusual case. But her fits don't look or feel like hypos.
Any ideas??????? I have had a great response to previous posts 'diabetes and fits' So anyone/ someone out there with anything helpful or positive get typing.
