Hi there I have been diagnosed back in October. I'm on metformin slow realease. Touchwood I'm fine on this compared to normal metformin. I have been feeling really spaced, dizzy, and to be honest really not with it. I have also started slimming world and lost half a stone in 2 weeks. I have been eating meals and reducing carbs. I feel not right up stairs and feel sometimes my head is spinning. Is this a common thing? The other day i thought i had taken one of my belongings back to my locker and all the time it was on my desk. I felt so silly infront of my colleages.Seeing my nurse tomorrow. Thanks

Hi, I have periods of feeling spaced, I take a couple of different diabetic medications and others not related, it could be the Meds but also the weight loss might be a factor. It's a fine line between eating to stay alive and eating to loose weight
Find a web site for BMR which after putting in basic info will tell you how many calories you need per day. Then work out an appropriate menu. Try it for a few weeks
Take care
Dave
