hi
@bennycrock,
I can relate to the achy tight joints but not the other symptoms.
I figure that for me after 51 years on insulin that there is build up of 'burnt fuel' products ( called
AGEs - Advanced Glycation End-products) which in diabetes can cause things like chronic inflammation in areas like joints and muscles.
But I wonder whether there are different things happening for you. ?
vitamin deficiency or excess. ? other
I note that with Type 1 diabetes
other auto-immune diseases can develop like coeliac disease (CD) and pernicious anemia to name two. CD may causes malabsorption of vitamins, minerals, and pernicious anaemia is caused by inability to absorb vitamin B12.
Lack of some vitamins affect taste, energy levels, other senses etc.
Of course these are just guesses and I reckon a trip to your problem-solving doctor is probably the best way forward.
Good luck in getting this sorted !!
