Feeling tired as if I've overdosed on carbs

I don't know why, but I feel exhausted today, as if I've had a huge carby meal, which I haven't. I actually fell asleep on the sofa and was sparko for a couple of hours. Just checked my BS and it is 6.1. I don't feel ill and had energy this morning - had a lovely walk with the dog - but I can't seem to wake myself up and I can't settle to doing anything.

I get this regular on a non working day. Apparently your body adjusts to feeling tired especially in the afternoon by getting you to nap.
Even if you had a bad sleep!
Could you have had a sleep disrupted night? And you are catching up?

Yes, I may have had a disrupted night, but not registered it. I'm dog-sitting for my sister and this tiny addition is about a quarter of the size of my dog so managed to sneak on my bed in the night without me noticing, but maybe I noticed in my sleep.

All my days have been non-working, or not proper job working, since July 2013 so I reckon my body's probably adjusted by now.

I had an early night and I feel fine this morning.

I'm knackered too. I know how you feel. Don't eat carbs so that isn't the problem, but I don't sleep well, so that could be an issue. - Anyone got any suggestions for fixing that??

Am trying to lose weight. Some one suggested that I may not be getting enough of the right nutrients. Am trying to fix that, hoping it helps. Could that be the problem when you're having tired days??
