I would perhaps suggest finding a new hobby. It can do wonders for your mental well being. I joined a Rock choir about 7 months ago, and I LOVE IT!!!! I used to get home from work, sit in front of the tv and then later go to bed. I will admit some nights I do still do this, but Friday night is choir night and then we ocassionally have performances too. I feel so much better as i have a whole new group of friends and motivation to do more.
Find something you like doing and see if there is a group you can join. It's good to get out of the house. Even if it's cold I feel I have to go so I don't let the whole group down.
