Feelings similar to PMT

I am an OAP Type 2, on metformin and insulin. Recently, I feel as vague as I did in the days when I had PMT and found it hard to concentrate on difficult tasks. Not all the time, just sometimes. Why should this be?

My Mum felt like that when she was taking statins, it may be those if you take them.
