- When people who know nothing about the LCHF diet tell me I'm killing myself being on it. I was killing myself not being on it!
I fell over a low wall at a newly opened cafe yesterday afternoon. When I saw it the other day I thought 'that low wall is a bit dangerous, someone could fall over it'...... I did yesterday afternoon. Luckily for me there was a nurse at the next table and she sorted me out, otherwise I would have stayed lying in a puddle of blood as I didn't want to move
The local Dr was called who took me back to his surgery. Then I was sent to the hospital where I was examined again. Today I went to my own Dr who was very sympathetic and has signed me off work for a week. But I must do NO exercise, no coughing or sneezing if I can help it, certainly no holding nose if I sneeze. NO HOUSEWORK

(the good part!)
I landed all on my left side, so I have a haematoma on my left hip (very sore), bruise on left elbow with soft swelling underneath (very sore!) bruise on left side of left knee (not too bad). Finally the icing on the cake I've most likely fractured or broken the septum bit in my nose from where my nose hit the ground and I heard the crunch and thought "that's not good" or words to that effect! I look like I've been thrown over a wall! Luckily (if that's the right word) my feet didn't catch on the wall after I fell as I would have certainly gone down head first and it could have been far worse.
I'm supposed to be going by myself to North Ronaldsay the week after next (a tiny island that has sheep that live on the beach and eat seaweed), I hope I'm better by then. Although the Dr said my hip could take months to heal .
