I wouldn't think this is related to diabetes but thought I'd post on here anyway, in case anyone has had experience.

I had my hysterectomy over 10 years ago with no problems ( Uterus, tubes and ovaries all gone.. just a cervix left. )

I actually started to bleed again during an energetic Saturday night dancing. Not too much then but getting heavier since. It's now like a heavy period.

I did have a clear cervical scan last year.

Called 111 on Sunday and had to go to the hospital to see out of hours GP and then my own GP on Monday.

He admitted to being baffled and has given me an urgent 2 week referral to the gynaecology dept.

Very worried as it's not just a little blood either ? Anyone heard of this before ?

I've not heard of that before... but I hope you get the best help and it isn't something serious. I can imagine it would be scary for you though. I wish you the best. :)

A lady I know had similar. She had two bleeds well past menopause. Docs checked her out and found no real reason, but it is several years ago and she is well (non D).
Hope yours is similar.

No suggestions I am afraid, but I'm glad you are seeing someone, sooner rather than later!

Please let us know how you get on?

Have no idea why but am glad you are being referred.
Please try not to worry, easier said do.

I had something similar about a year after my hysterectomy. It turned out to be a polyps on the internal scar tissue which had started to bleed after sex or exercise. It took minutes to remove (as an out patient) and I've not had a problem since.

I remember how worried I was so I'm sending a big hug your way. xx

Finally got my appointment through. Tuesday 30th May. I'm still bleeding , although not quite as much.
GP also did blood test last week which has come back normal.. no action, so at least that part is OK.

Update:
Went for my appointment on Tuesday and they admitted me into hospital! Doc said I was bleeding too much to go home, so an hour later I was packed with yards of gauze ( don't recommend that !! ) catheterised and in a hospital bed. Rather a nuisance as I'd got nothing with me.
Had a scan and a biopsy. There is a mass in my cervix although they won't say what yet as the biopsy result isn't back yet.
On Thursday they said they'd do a different scan, but nothing happened and at teatime a different doc came round and said I could go home if I wished as they would discuss my case in their weekly meeting ( next Thursday) and get in touch with me then. She also said I could stay in hospital if I wanted ? I came home! I didn't see the point of hanging around for a week .

My heart is crying for you, you have a hard road ahead. Sending loving support thoughts. xx

So sorry! Though I'm glad you got a fast referral and are getting rapid treatment, that should help.
Please make use of every opportunity for support and help - including us here, on the forum.

Have a hug.

They have moved very fast . I've been in hospital for 2 days to stop the bleeding and they've already arranged the PET scan for Monday.
I'm a positive person and will deal with this as it happens.
Hubby is still recovering from his illness and this has knocked him for six.. I think I feel worse for him than I do for me.

So sorry to read of your diagnosis, sending you get well wishes and a (((((((( BIG HUG )))))))) x

I'm sorry to read about the cancer diagnosis - I went through something very similar 3 years ago, in my case it was Uterine Carcinosarcoma. I had surgery, chemo & radiotherapy.

My blood sugars went haywire for about 5 days after each chemo infusion but this was partly due to the high level of steroids they gave me. My consultant told me to ignore the readings, not to panic over them and that they would settle down again quickly. They returned to my normal with a week of finishing the treatment. The hardest thing is trying to eat sensibly when you are nauseous so please make sure they give you a good supply of medication for that.
