I have heard and read that fennel seeds are very important but we are diabetics and it is good to eat them
 
Fennel is an excellent flavouring, and beneficial to digestion.
They are made more aromatic by warming the seeds for a few minutes in a heavy pan.
I don't know if they are beneficial for diabetics, but they are beneficial for Humans in general.
