Hi guys,

I was diagnosed T1 in late December, everything is going well now though, first Hba1c without pre diagnosis levels was 45 which I was pleased with but want to continue improving on.

Anyway, I am going to a music festival next week in Serbia where the temperatures are set to be above 30C, and I am still well in my honeymoon period, only taking 5 units of Levemir in the morning and 6 in the evening, and I am worried about how I should go about this. Does anybody have any tips?

I was recently in the south of France, and found myself having much lower blood sugar with the heat, so shall I just reduce my basal?

Appreciate any help.

I'd test and see how it goes. Take plenty of hypo treatments and test lots. I've been to a number of festivals and I've found my blood sugar can be quite erratic. Sometimes it'll go high in the heat, sometimes low.

Test and adapt as you need. And have a good time!
