Fever increasing bg

So I’m going on holiday tomorrow and surprise suprise I have a diverticulitis attack two days before, have been awake a lot of the night in pain burning up, feeling a bit better today but got a reading of 7.4 this morning! By far the highest I’ve had!
Is this normal?

Sorry to hear you’re not well, especially just when you’re going on holiday. Yes, illness and lack of sleep can both contribute to higher than normal blood sugars. I hope you feel better soon and can enjoy your holiday

Thanks, just hope it settles down before we go! Such a shame as I’ve been 4s and fives for ages now and then this happens
