Novo have something in pipeline but only phase 1.The trials have shown no reduction in needed insulin, just faster and much faster action. The interesting change is HDV, which I expect to see in the next 18 months or so. It may well reduce the insulin requirements: http://www.diabettech.com/diabetes/...-be-hepatocyte-delivered-vesicle-for-insulin/
Thank you. Will try that.smag3 - It wasn't on my hospital's formulary, either, but they okayed it and my GP wrote a paper prescription for me to go round pharmacies and find where it WAS available. Luckily my pharmacy in our village searched and found it for me. Don't take no for an answer - get the go-ahead and then phone your surgery, get a prescription and go hunt. Even if you have to go into another health authority territory.
Yup - it's been available for over a month!I asked about Fiasp when I had my annual consultation at the hospital (April 23rd) - they had no idea it was available, said they would look into it for me. Monday, I receive a prescription in the post from the hospital for Fiasp flextouch ! handed in to the chemist Monday - collected yesterday - injecting today...so seems as though its pretty much out there and available now!!
