Hi guys! I’m Debora, a type 1-diabetic on Omnipod (Fiasp) and Dexcom G6. I’m currently 18-weeks pregnant with my first child and having some doubts regarding pre-bolusing with Fiasp - I’m doing a 10’ pre bolus and it’s enough for now but I wonder if, when I get more insulin resistant, it’s safe to do longer pre bolus using Fiasp Has anyone thoughts or experience on the matter?

Thanks in advance :)
Debora

I often do a much longer bolus, however I am not on a pump or pregnant. I strongly believe that I wouldn’t do anything not given the green light by your maternity diabetic nurse. (Said by someone who normally does diabetes control my way)
Congratulations on the pregnancy.

Thanks Becca! My doctors are just always so “scared” of pre bolusing, they recommend actually 10 Minutes tops but I’m really skeptical that it’s gonna be sufficient I’ll try asking tomorrow again!
