Fiasp vs no brand Aspart

Hi Everyone,

I started using Fiasp last week in order to combat frequent spikes after lunch/dinner. My first impression is Fiasp is indeed working faster. Also, using a flexpen, the injection system is way better compared to the no brand Aspart pens that are prescribed in the Netherlands now.

I’ll give an update in some weeks, but the experiment looks promising so far! Any other experiences with Fiasp here?

I've used Novorapid (for more yeas than I can remember - MID and pump) and wanted an ultrafast for looping. Tried Fiasp (ran into resistance problems) then Lyumjev (worked well at first then resistance), then mixed Lyumjev and Fiasp (worked really well but not an approved route) - now back on Fiasp and finally stable with it.

Find it works well the majority of the time, can require a fair bit more if outside of normal range - and when looping needs a Duration of Insulin Activity (DIA) of 10 hours (but thats a very individual configuration).

Otherwise, works very well and love how fast it can control my BG - can be used to be much nearer a 'normal' eating pattern and reduces the amount I need to think about food and timings.

Be interesting to see what you find - I'm loving ultrafast over fast insulins

Please note that the 30 day periods also include 1 week of Fiasp use. So the no brand Aspart results would be even worse without this. The Fiasp is working significantly better. I find it quite shocking that no doctor ever told me about the existence of Fiasp and i had to keep asking for it after reading on the internet about it…It was the same with the Freestyle Libre back in the day..
