Fibre higher than carbs?

Looking at a couple of ingredients on UK packaging, flax meal and ground almonds and the fibre is higher than the carbs, I thought you deduct the fibre from the carbs but that gives a negative so I'm not sure.
Flax pack says for 100g has 3g carbs, of which 1.8 sugars, fibre 23.7
Ground almonds pack says for 100g has 6.9 carbs, of which sugars 4.2, fibre7.4
So how do I count the carbs?

In the UK, the carbohydrate value on the nutrition label does not include fibre. You do not need to do any arithmetic - just use the carbohydrate value given.

Yes, in UK, you just need to refer to the carbohydrate value. Sometimes it can be referred to as Total Carbohydrate, of which...... then it breaks down the sugar part. In that case, it's total carb.

I hope that didn't confuse things too much?

Seems I've been doing it wrong for a while then. So disregarding the values for fibre, i should count the other carb value, eg flax has 3g of countable carbs per 100g. I think this is what you've already said but just want to be really clear.

Yes. Use 3 g per 100g.
