Had annual check with new diabetes nurse. She was happy with my bloods etc but said I have early onset of vascular problems in feet. She gave me a meter and put strips on repeat. Just realized she didn't pup lancets on it.

Likely just an oversight - give her a call and get her to put them on - you need both - you will need to order lancets less frequently than strips - the box they come in lasts ages as there is loads in there.
We all have our methods. Obviously I bought mine to begin with but I now recycle them. When I have used them all I put them in the kitchen steamer for half an hour and then I use them again. The present batch will be going for their fourth outing soon.

The lancets I have are still the box of 100 I bought when I bought my code free meter 3 years ago.. I go through bouts of testing then only testing if I feel under the weather. At my last review I managed to get meter from the DB nurse as she said I have the start of neuropathy in my feet. This past few days he pain in my feet has been unbearable. I took paracetemol and that didn't touch the sides. So have taken codeine, and also started taking a multivitamin, The pain as ease greatly. Bloods have been quite good too. Which is a bug bear lol. Good bloods yet still getting symptoms.
