Finally got my pump!!

I have just been approved for a pump, and have chosen the animas 2020 model. I am totally new to this, I have been on a carboydrate counting course, but know nothing about how the pump works. I am going on a day's training course soon on how to learn to use it, but would appreciate any tips and advice on being a pump user? I am quite nervous, but excited too, I really hope it is going to be a rewarding experience. Many thanks in advance?

Congrats on the pump :) We've also chosen the Animas 2020 for my daughter. She hasn't been connected yet but the nurse left us a loan pump for a few weeks to play with so that we could become familiar with the menus. It didn't take long at all to navigate through the menus and settings, it's a very intuitive device. Let us know how your training day goes :)

Well done, and I personally believe that you have chosen the best pumps.......
Just make sure that initally you are able to test as frequently as possible.......it will be hard over Christmas time, but it will be a good preparation for next Christmas when everything will have settled down.
With pumps, it is initally a harder regime than with MDI, but you will find that it will stabilise levels and eliminate huge highs/lows relatively wuickly...however you do have to be able to manage the pump...as with all computerised mechanics, pumps rely upon the datya that it is given by humans......
