As you live with parents, you wont get any help with rent as it is parental home and DWP dont think you should need to pay rent there. DWP here have ALWAYS thought like this.

Keep bus tickets and proof of benefits for every hospital appointment, after appointment, ask about help with bus fares and they will point you in the right direction for claiming bus fare back.

I would ask GP about Hypostop/Glucogel for hypos, as you are type 1, prescriptions should be free for you. It will save money for you and hopefully you can try to adjust insulin/check BG more frequently until you have ot under control and hypo less.

DWP have no obligation to help you getting to interviews so on that part, I would tell them you will only do work/training within walking diatance to your home, that will soon get them doing something to help you. In the meanwhile, can your parents not give you bus fares if it's to help you getting back to work?

Your parents should be cutting you a bit of slack if they are charging you £50.00 per week board / rent as a T1. They should know that you cant eat rubbish (dry Weetbix). They should realise that you need extra money to help find a job.

Beg, borrow or steal a push bike from a relation or friend so you can get around a bit easier, you will get your exercise while you are going to job interviews.

If you don't have a bike, it's worth asking on Freecycle - or looking for offers of bikes in your area. Some places also have bike libraries for free loans to people who don't have their own bike eg http://bikelibraries.yorkshire.com/
