Hi everyone,

Sorry it’s been a while since I’ve posted here.
I just wanted to talk to you guys as it is really hard sometimes managing diabetes constantly.
I’ve had it for about 20 years now, and apart from when I was a child, I haven’t really ever had ‘good’ levels.. they’ve been okay but recently have been on the higher side, averaging about 15 in the middle of the day.

I recently had my eye screening to say there are signs of maculopothy and that I had to be screened again in 3 months time.. I was very scared by this and felt inclined to improve my levels (this was about a week ago). I’ve been looking into getting a pump but didn’t realise it was so hard to get funding… my consultant says it’s pregnant ladies and children getting them first.
I just feel so disheartened by it all. It was one thing keeping excellent levels if I were to get a pump, but I don’t know how long I can keep it up for, and worried about the complications if I don’t.

Sorry for rambling, thank you if you’ve listened this far! I just wanted to talk to some people who understand.
Thanks
