Finger Pricking

Why hello there, it's my first time asking a question. I'm a type two diabetic, have been for eight years and three times a day maybe more depending on my blood sugars. My fingers are sore from all the needles. Now, I keep seeing adverts for patches and apps for type ones, to save them time from finger pricking. My question is: Is there anything like this for type two's? Thank you in advance.

Hi @Diabetic2ForYou and well done on your first post! As a type2 it’s extremely unlikely to get the patches as you call them on prescription, they are indeed stuck to you like a plaster but are a glucose sensor. Anyone can buy them, I started using the Freestyle Libre 2 about 6 weeks ago, which means my fingers have recovered from years of pricking. You can learn a lot about how foods affect you, worth a try if you can stretch to the price.
