Guys never had this before it's been red for about 3 weeks and is sore. Seems silly but wondering if a drs appoint is in order?

Not sure if it's blood testing related. Tried to not use that finger for a while and it seemed a bit better so figured it was ok and now it's not.

sounds more like foreign matter, a prickle or the tip of the lancet may have broken off? get grandmar's poultice recipe out and see the Dr

Doubt it's finger stick testing as no one pokes their fingers there do they? That should be done at the side of fingers.
Soak the finger in some hot salty water and give it a squeeze and or poke with a lancet to remove whatever is in it.

I would go to your gp and see if there's a foreign object stuck in underskin that is causing the inflammation, if there's nothing there it might be you'll need a course of antibiotics to clear it up.
