First A1c since starting the pump

I went for my Ac1 blood test on friday... before pumping it was 7.9%.

Im just waiting for the results now!!! I'm hoping for under 7%. ideally under 6.5%!
 
I am sure you will have a good result. Mine was 7.7 before pumping and 7.1 3 months later. I am due another test soon and am hoping to be in the sixes.
 
Ok got the results!

Was 7.9% 2 months before starting the pump.

8 weeks after the pump... 7.1%!

I was dissapointed at first because i'd have my hopes up for less... but then the nurse told me that no-one else in my group had made that much improvement, and it was only 8 weeks not 12 (HbA1c being a 3 month average) PLUS starting on the pump you tend to run a little higher than you want at the end anyway while adjusting the basal rates... and overall my BS is MUCH more stable.

So actually im happy with that... Should have another one in about 3 months at the end of my pump trial...
 
Well done you! Going in the right direction, and an excellent result on your first pump outing. I'm also hoping for a return to the sixes which is where I prefer to be... :)
