My meter arrived today. I got woken by the postie just before 10 am - broken night's sleep so lying in!

Fasting blood glucose was 8.1 - not brilliant but better than 10.8 two weeks ago.

Had a Babybel cheese for breakfast as wasn't feeling particularly hungry - need to decide whether to have breakfast if not feeling hungry so will try that a few days and see what difference it makes to my readings.

Walked round to the supermarket and bought the ingredients for Fathead Pizza for tea.

BG before lunch was 7.5 - lunch was cold corned beef quiche with salad (lettuce, cucumber, three cherry tomatoes, slice of red pepper, quarter of an avocado, tbsp of Hellman's and some seeds) - ate half and was full so came back half an hour later to finish it (very unlike me!)

2 hours later (2:15pm) my reading was 7.7 so that doesn't seem too much of a roller coaster.

At about 4.30 felt a little odd and 'spacey' - checked and BG was 7.3 - had a cup of coffee with cream and felt better. Still trying to avoid the low carb 'flu'.

BG at 6.30 was 7.7 - not sure why - unless it was the coffee!

Made the Fathead Pizza - nom nom! Had a bowl of broccoli and Stilton soup with two slices as was also cooking something more carbie for hubby and couldn't face salad again.

Reading of 7.2 two hours later.

I'm not quite clued up as to whether these are good/bad or what ...

Do I take another reading before I go to bed?

Those are good and surprisingly level. You can take a bedtime reading if you like. It might not tell you much but you don't have to ask permission.

I love fat-head pizza! Had it on Saturday - and although my BG didn't go up too much it *stayed* up for hours and hours, plus stayed higher during the night (I know this because I've got the Freestyle Libre).

Had a similar effect yesterday from my fish pie, the sauce of which is basically cream, cream cheese and butter - followed by berries with cream and coffee with cream. So just be aware that a very fatty meal can keep your BG up for a long long time - I had read about that effect, but never seen it before.
