Each to their own I guess, in general the pump gives a much tighter control than MDIThis is why I stick to multiple injections each day.Guy I work with has high sugars quite a bit due to bent needles.Wouldn't be comfortable either sleeping with a pump.
@buckmr2 Your preference of MDI is a personal view of yours and doesn't offer anything to this thread. Likewise, how comfortable sleeping with an insulin pump is, does not address @Type1Lad's query in any way. This is why I stick to multiple injections each day.Guy I work with has high sugars quite a bit due to bent needles.Wouldn't be comfortable either sleeping with a pump.
this is the first time a kink has occurred so I don't think it is a constant issue, my pump doesn't have steel cannulas yet either. Just checked sugar and it was 14.5 with 0.9 ketones drinking plenty of fluids and hoping that the new one i have inserted will get me back to range soon@buckmr2 Your preference of MDI is a personal view of yours and doesn't offer anything to this thread. @Type1Lad, are you aware of stainless steel cannulas? You can always check whether these are available for your model of pump, and whether or not your GP would be happy to prescribe them. That is, if kinking cannulas becomes a consistent issue for you providing that you're following the application instructions thoroughly.

Grant
