Hi im abbs im 50 type 2 insulin dependant ive had diabetes 9 yrs now struuggle to control it one minute its high next im having a hypo im new to all this
 
Welcome to the forums @Abbs35 . I've been using insulin for over 50 years so I can certainly sympathise with the highs and lows.

What sort of insulin regime are you on? Do you count your carbs?

If you are in the UK and T2 on insulin you may qualify for a cgm or freestyle libre which might make your sugars easier to manage?
