First time low

I've been taking my metformin for a couple or three weeks now, and have been steady for that time. A little earlier, I felt shaky/shivery, and did a test at 2.8.
I've never been this low - my original problem was high, over 25.
My query..I had some cola in the house for times like this, had half a bottle then my meal.
Do I still take my metformin tonight?
When should I do another test?
I've been steady, and the doctor said I only needed to test once or twice a week. This morning my test was perfect, and i've eaten normally today.
any thoughts would be welcome.

Hi, you now need to test, pre meal then two hours after first bite.
This will give you an idea what is happening to your intake of food that you are eating.

Also what sort of diet are you on?

If you have a low reading like you did, retest, if it is similar, take action and get your bloods up.

I would like to see your fasting blood glucose levels. Just to see where you are.
Are you on any other meds?

My condition, is similar to what has happened to you. So if you can post more details tomorrow, your levels, what you have eaten, it will help with what is going on.
