First year diabetes anniversary today.....

Think I'm more confused about it all than I was this time last year!
Does anyone celebrate their anniversaries?
Going to celebrate mine by getting stuck into my research project on type 1 diabetes , and maybe some sweets preceded by a serious Bolus of novo rapid!

Congratulations on making it through your first year. I will reach my third anniversary of diagnosis at the weekend.

I always reflect on the last year when I get another year out of the way, see whats changed and how my control has improved or not.

This year I decided to have a Mars Bar. Felt smug that I didn't go over 8mmol, but not so smug when I went low a bit later on

i celebrate my anniversary ( august 14th ) by toasting myself with a glass of red wine or champagne.

I don't celebrate but I always think back to the day of diagnosis and it does make me a little sad to be honest. It was probably the biggest life event I have ever had. Hope you find some reasons to be cheerful today.
