:wacky: Oh im not eating it he he :D just wish i was :joyful:right back to low carb :)

I'm sure there's some low carb versions of this somewhere! If not, I bet someone on the forum can help you figure one out :D

Lovely :)....don't forget the strong mug of builders tea;)

:) Pan fried fish, or take the batter off fish from the local chippy, celariac chips, two rounds of Livlife bread, lavishly buttered, plus frozen petit pois which according to Carb Counter, have just 1.0 net carbs per 100g. Not a bad substitute.....;) Enjoy.

Ps. Don't forget salt and vinigar! ;)

I was going to suggest a fish from local chippy and scrape off the batter. I'm afraid I do this! I do have marrowfat peas with it though!

That seems a tiny amount for peas. They do vary according to maturity but most French sites have petit pois as 12% carb (frozen peas are quite rare here) This UK site has frozen peas at 9g per 100. (fibre already deducted)
I was taught to think of them as a starchy carb. In the grand scheme of things it probably doesn't matter except it does go to show how we add these things up differently.
As to the fish and chips , I have to say I 'chickened' out on a recent fish and chips evening with friends ( A monthly fish and chips van has recently arrived in our remote part of France!) I took my own grilled chicken, a salad and ate a few chips!

@phoenix
I thought it low too but I have eaten them and not had any problems. It is sometimes very difficult to find the correct values so I tend to test for myself.
Nothing quite like proper fish n chips tho ;)
:hilarious: @ you chickening out. Have to be honest and say I wouldn't expect anything else;)

I like chicken so wasn't a problem.
. (plus I didn't think that a 20km journey would enhance it's gastronomic delights even sans batter)
